the challenge

UCT GSB Executive Education offers targeted learning interventions that are relevant and responsive to the fast-changing world of work to help their learners at every stage of their leadership journey, encouraging them to invest in themselves and add value to their organisation.

To expand the reach of their courses, the UCT GSB has partnered with Hubble Studios on several different initiatives to enable and create blended and online options for their programmes. A customised platform, to be used across the UCT GSB, has been complemented by training sessions for staff and faculty as well as analysis and design exercises completed on the possibilities for the digital transformation of a few courses, including the Executive Development Programme.

the Hubble Studios intervention

Hubble Studios partnered with UCT GSB to develop the UCT GSB online platform and offer technical support to its learners and faculty. This included supporting and enhancing the digital expertise already present in the UCT GSB Exec Ed team.

When co-designing programmes with the UCT GSB Exec Ed faculty, Hubble Studios focused on enhancing the effectiveness of the existing in-person and online programmes through carefully selected digital interventions aimed at increasing participant engagement and learning.

This involved streamlining orientation and pre-work; providing topical resources for learners to use during and after the programme; and creating a space for ongoing post-programme engagement through virtual sessions and one-on-one check-ins.
