the challenge

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is a global charitable organisation, which focuses on climate change, land and water conservation; food and water sustainability; and healthy cities. TNC approached Cambridge Judge Business School Executive Education Limited (JBSEEL) to design, develop and deliver an online learning programme focused on leadership development.

The aim of the programme was to both groom the organisation’s future leaders and complement the in-person training the NGO’s executives attended in Cambridge, thus creating a common language of leadership for individuals at all levels of the organisation.

the Hubble Studios intervention

Hubble Studios partnered with JBSEEL to develop an 18-week online leadership programme for TNC’s entry- and mid-level employees. The online programme was divided into three modules of six units each, taking learners on a progressive journey from self-improvement to effective collaboration, and, finally, to integrative systems thinking.

Hubble Studios also built a custom LMS for JBSEEL which integrated:

  • written notes with custom graphics
  • case studies and scenarios
  • custom videos featuring Cambridge faculty
  • external videos such as TED talks
  • interactive activities (via Storyline embeds, hotspots and GIFs)
  • personal virtual journals for reflection
  • dialogue forums for collaborative learning both within and between cohorts
the results

“Hubble Studios brought a truly collaborative and solution-focused approach to our project. From the start, they strived to understand the intricacies of the programme in order to deliver across all of the requirements.

They have been flexible throughout, rising to the many challenges we gave them and coming up with creative proposals to resolve issues. We are delighted not just with the results but with the attitude they brought – it truly felt like we were one team working together to build an exceptional product.”
