The range of immersive learning technology has exploded over the past five years. While traditionally the focus has been on augmented and virtual reality, usually with headsets, the accelerated pace of development has produced a wide range of immersive technology and accompanying experiences. The purpose of this workshop series is twofold:

  1. Orient participants to the more common higher education immersive learning use cases
  1. Showcase several different technologies and their use cases

There is also the opportunity to glean insights from higher education participants with regards to enablers of and barriers to immersive learning uptake.

For these workshops, Hubble Studios will be partnering with Sea Monster who have specialised skills in immersive technologies. Sea Monster will share their approach and experiences in this area which will include how games can provide structure to interactive learning, why voluntary engagement is important and how new technologies like AR and VR can fundamentally change the way we learn.
